Why It Matters

Australia's Most Destructive Pest

Wild European rabbits were introduced in 1859 and exploded across the continent thanks to a lack of natural predators and a highly favourable climate. Today they cause massive environmental degradation and cost agriculture over $200 million every year in lost production. Their rapid breeding, overgrazing and burrowing threaten native wildlife and alter entire ecosystems, and on your land, they hit your bottom line.

They Breed Fast

A single pair can become hundreds in a season. Left alone, a small infestation overruns a property before you know it.

They Eat Your Profit

Just seven rabbits consume roughly the same vegetation as one dry sheep. That is feed you've paid for, gone underground.

They Wreck The Ground

Warrens collapse soil, undermine fences and machinery, and trigger severe wind and water erosion.

The Real Cost

The Damage Rabbits Do

It's not just a few nibbled plants. Rabbits hit the land, the livestock and the native bush all at once.

Agricultural Damage

Heavy grazing reduces crop yields and strips pasture meant for sheep and cattle. Seven rabbits eat as much as one dry sheep, and they never stop.

Land Degradation & Erosion

Overgrazing strips ground cover while digging and warren construction destabilise the soil, causing severe wind and water erosion.

Competition For Food

Rabbits compete directly with native wildlife like bilbies and wombats, plus your livestock, for food and shelter.

Biodiversity Loss

A primary threat to at least 300 threatened species. By eating native plants, stopping seedling regeneration and ringbarking saplings, they destroy critical habitat.

Feeding Feral Predators

As a reliable food source, rabbits sustain feral cats and foxes, which then turn on small native animals.

Costly Infrastructure

Burrows undermine fence lines, tracks, dam walls and foundations, leaving holes that break legs and damage equipment.

At their 1920s peak Australia held an estimated 10 billion rabbits. Control works, but only if someone keeps clearing them.

What We Do

Our Services

Traditional, hands-on rabbit control for farms, acreage and rural properties around Parkes. No poisons left lying around your stock. Just proven methods that work.

01

Bunny Busting

Targeted clearing of rabbit populations with experienced working dogs. Fast, effective knock-down of active mobs across your paddocks.

02

Ferreting

The traditional method. Ferrets flush rabbits straight out of their warrens so nothing's left breeding underground.

03

Warren Clearing

We don't just thin the numbers. We get into the warrens to break the cycle and keep your property under control long-term.

Don't Forget

A Health Risk Too

Wild rabbits can carry serious diseases harmful to humans, most notably tularemia ("rabbit fever"). While direct encounters are rare, handling infected animals or contact with contaminated water or insects poses a genuine health risk. Leave the handling to people who do it for a living.
